Believe as Word Study in John 7

Believe word study… Part of a Whole…
Chapter 7 (‭John‬ ‭7‬:‭5, 31, 38, 48‬ NKJV)

For even His brothers did not believe in Him.

Believing requires more than family loyalty.

And many of the people believed in Him, and said, “When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?”

His signs were more than enough for people to believe in Him, and yet it is still hard for people today to believe in Him!

These people were really looking for a deliverer, but not a Savior!

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Believing has an out-going effect on those who accept Jesus Christ.

Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him? (‭John‬ ‭7‬:‭5, 31, 38, 48‬ NKJV)

People look to rulers for example, but sadly, they are not better, and often worse examples. But even if there are good rulers, it is weakness to look to them alone for example.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Believing had delayed blessing that we no longer wait to receive… So why does humanity delay today? (‭John‬ ‭7‬:‭37-39NKJV)

The Stewardship of Life

Stewards of God

Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬ NKJV)

Faithfulness a Requirement

Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ NKJV)

Made A Full Family Member

Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. (‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭1-7‬ NKJV)

Accountable -Like It or Not!

He also said to His disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods. So he called him and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward.’ “Then the steward said within himself, ‘What shall I do? For my master is taking the stewardship away from me. I cannot dig; I am ashamed to beg. I have resolved what to do, that when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.’ “So he called every one of his master’s debtors to him, and said to the first, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ And he said, ‘A hundred measures of oil.’ So he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.’ Then he said to another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ So he said, ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ And he said to him, ‘Take your bill, and write eighty.’

Commendation or Condemnation Coming

So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” (‭Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭1-13‬ NKJV)

Coming Quickly

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭13-17‬ NKJV)

Conclusion, make everything you do each moment GOOD!
