Law’s Affect on Good

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.

Sin A Constant Conflict with Good

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.

The Law is Good

Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good. Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not!

Sin Converts Good into Evil and Death

But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

Sin’s Potential is Inestimable!

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand.

Sin Proves the GOODNESS of the Law

For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

Sinful Self Absent of Any Good!

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.

The GOOD Power of the Law

I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

Jesus Christ Is Our Only Hope!

O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

The Holy Spirit and Christ Calls Us Through GOODNESS to an Eternal Life of Satisfaction!

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

An Inseparable Blissful End!

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

We Win!

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Freedom Living Without Law

Galatians 5:22-23, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

What does it mean “there is no law?”

In this passage we see what it means to live the fruitful Christian life IF WE WERE NOT PLAGUED WITH A SINFUL NATURE.

When we are sensitive to the Spirit of God, dying moment by moment to wrong lusts, and cleansed from past offenses to others, then we are living without the need of Law. Our righteous attitude preserves us from sinful influences that keep us from uselessness of a carnal life that brings sorrows.

That kind of life approximates what heavenly living is to be like here on earth!

Good Deliverance arrives never too late!

Oh, fear the Lord , you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

God is an excellent provider for each faithful one. He Provides Goodness!

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord . Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good?

He Fails Not to Deliver Goodness! It is generally true that the longer you live- the greater is your favor of God.

Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

Seeking Good Enables It’s Doing! Those people are generally more than peacemakers, they are peacekeepers.
