GOODNESS of God to Righteous Kings

“And now, O Lord God , You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this GOODNESS to Your servant. Now therefore, let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue before You forever; for You, O Lord God , have spoken it, and with Your blessing let the house of Your servant be blessed forever.”
II Samuel 7:28‭-‬29 NKJV

Though David Failed He Was Honored as A Good King.

Good is Exclusive to God Alone!

A Fool’s Attempt to Deny Our GOOD God

The fool has said in his heart, “ There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity;
There is none who does GOOD.
God looks down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
Every one of them has turned aside;
They have together become corrupt;
There is none who does GOOD, No, not one.
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call upon God?
There they are in great fear
Where no fear was,
For God has scattered the bones of him who encamps against you;
You have put them to shame,
Because God has despised them.
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When God brings back the captivity of His people,
Let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad. —
Psalms 53:1‭-‬6 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.53.1-6.NKJV

The Bible is truly like a mirror enabling us to see ourselves just like others, and most note-ably, just like GOD sees us. The trouble is that some of us see Him and don’t like anything about Him because all that is visible to us in our own mirror is the bigness of our own image. When anything else becomes uncovered about God, His mirror image of us is pretty ugly, and we recoil at that sight. and recoil we ought!

As it is written:

“There is none righteous, no, not one;

[11] There is none who understands;

There is none who seeks after God.

[12] They have all turned aside;

They have together become unprofitable;

There is none who does good, no, not one.”*
[Ps 14:1-3; 53:1-3; Ec 7:20]

[13] “Their throat is an open tomb;

With their tongues they have practiced deceit” ; *
Ps 5:9

“The poison of asps is under their lips” ; *
Ps 140:3

[14] “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.” *
Ps 10:7

[15] “Their feet are swift to shed blood;

[16] Destruction and misery are in their ways;

[17] And the way of peace they have not known.” *
Isa 59:7,8

[18] “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” *
Ps 36:1

[19] Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. [20] Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. — Romans 3:10-18

But the Bible says we’re made in His image, after His own likeness. And though fools would be God’s immediate response to our recoil response; His love is the recoil for that initial response of our rejection of Him.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Goodness is something we should acknowledge as favorable. I have no problem admitting my shameful lack of Goodness. and I have every intention of acknowledging His love for me! I encourage you to do so as well!

The Good Work of Christ

His Good Work

Chapter 1, Philippians

“…for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.

His Good Pleasure

Chapter 2

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Of Our Good Reporting

Philippians 4

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Prayer Obligation – – It Teaches Fear and Whole Hearted Service to God

For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you;

but I will teach you the good and the right way.

Only fear the Lord , and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.

But if you still do wickedly, you shall be swept away, both you and your king.”

Good Works Plan for Believers on Earth

What It is and is not…

Good Works Cannot Give Salvation

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

You cannot work for something given to you.

Good Works Can Give Sanctification- God’s Real Value for Living

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Works we do may not necessarily be good, but those are the only kind God designed for us and that was pre-planned by Him.

Celebrating Good With Brides, Bibles, and Believers in Haiti

I have been so blessed by my marriage into the Cecil Wise family. We have celebrated our 30th anniversary last year.

1. I married a missionary, mostly because God lead me to one to love: Christine on August 13, 1988.

It has brought to me a family of my own loving to clean in CT.

2. She has a sister her elder who has come to be a missionary to Haiti.

Mrs. Mary Davis has a growing work soul-winning and teaching others to do the same reaching even out to Haitian Baptist Pastors all over the island. She is requesting support from American Christians. She welcomes others to support her with
Brides (wedding apparel such as dresses),
Bibles (NT Creole paperback are only $3 each), and
Believers (she has personally led over 1,000 to the Lord since early 2014, and is working with the Baptist Pastors to disciple these Believers for growth by conducting seminars [a PDF] in soul-winning and God’s will).

You can donate towards these seminars and discipleship materials to further this most needful mission field, we believe out of about all other fields.

3. Christine’s younger sister has already though never married herself found our first bride’s dress to send.

We especially thank Miss Vicki Wise for this first dress! We will be preparing an article explaining better what is already posted online at www.aprayernotebook.net/each1helps1/texts.html.

What Good thing can you do, American Christian?

A young bride carefully packs her wedding dress. It was the most wonderful day of her life – her wedding day. But now the wedding dress is put away and later sent away.

In Haiti a young couple are living together and they have a child together now six years old. Because of the cost, marriage has been impossible. The young woman begins to suffer from illness and demonic attack as she loses control of her senses periodically. Other people beat on her to tell the demon to leave her.

An older missionary has the wedding dress from her daughter in USA. The missionary talks with the young woman, by means of a translator, who is the pastor of the Church. She talks with the young woman about putting all her trust in Jesus and sincerely calling on Him to save her. After that she talked with the couple about how they must be right with God in marriage.

They agree but in despair relate that they have no money for the expense of a wedding. The missionary and the pastor told the couple they would help them with the cost of the wedding and the missionary has the wedding dress.

Then the missionary instructed her about what to do when demonic activity presented itself.

James 4:7 “Submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee.”

Be right with God; resist the devil in the name of Jesus and the devil will go.
The couple was married in the church. When a demon presented itself the bride told it to “Go” in the name of Jesus and she has been free of illness and demonic activity since her wedding day.

The Powers of Goodness Romans 12-13

God’s Will is Good

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Gifts Bestowed to Enable Goodness

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Goodness Is Part of Spiritual Giftedness But It Does Not “Stick” Around You

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Good Must Be Regarded (A Responsibility List)

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.

Good Overcomes Evil

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:1‭-‬21 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/rom.12.1-21.NKJV

Government and Good Works

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.

Existing to Praise Never Condemn Goodness

Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.

Good Is a Ministry Function of It, as Well as a Judge of the Same

For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
